The 25-year-old has scored eight goals in 85 games for the Black Cats. Former Sunderland manager Roy Keane signed Richardson for �5.5m in 2007 from Manchester United, where he made 81 appearances in five years. Richardson showed his versatility by briefly playing at left-back under Sunderland's ***previous*** boss Steve Bruce. Blimey!!
